Nate and Kelly met during their freshman year of high school. They officially met at the "Frosh Slosh" (the dance for only freshmen after the first day of school). Kelly vividly remembers seeing his golden blonde mushroom cut and pinching his butt as he passed by her in a conga line! Nathan remembers she was wearing a green skirt with a rainbow belt. During and post-college, they lost touch and were living their separate lives, but then Nate randomly Facetimed Kelly on her 24th birthday. She has just moved to Houston for a teaching job and were both freshly single. They Facetimed for 2 hours and it was like a day had never passed between them. They held a catholic wedding ceremony at St. Francis Xavier Church in Petoskey. Afterward, they traveled to Castle Farms in Charlevoix for an elegant reception filled with live music, speeches, and energetic dancing.
