The day started early. The groomsmen and fathers enjoyed a round of golf at The Pines in Grand Rapids. Afterwards they met up with the girls, getting ready at the sensational CityFlats Hotel in downtown GR.
There is an air of excitement about first looks - the fun game of keeping the bride and groom from seeing each other until the exact right moment. We traveled to Aquinas College for Sam and Joe's first look. Only through the coordination of the photographer, videograghers and bridal party can we accomplish this sacred objective. This time, I was in-charge of keeping Sam from accidentally sneaking a peak of Joe. Kayla cued me to bring the bride over once she had the groom in prime looking away position.
Sam and Joe met at Trinity College and they sure know how to have fun! The entire day, they were full of smiles and jokes. Some family members traveled over oceans to attend this wedding! And boy did they know how to party. Joe graced us with the prowess of his Irish foot moves. Everyone was having so much fun on the dance floor, it actually took thirty minutes to move the crowd outside for a massive sparkler send-off.
